Thymoquinone-related knowledge (1915–2022): A comprehensive bibliometric analysis

Nigella sativa L. and its active component, thymoquinone, attract a lot of scientific attention. However, very few review articles on this issue have been published so far, no relied the method bibliometrics, which is currently most prominent technique for citation mapping. 
 This involves total 2072 studies thymoquinone reported in Scopus database between 1915 September 15, 2022. The data obtained were processed using VOSviewer software, MS Excel, Analytic. introduces some prospective research areas based theme mapping, knowledge trending, bibliographic coupling, keyword co-occurrence networks. authors, documents, journals, institutions, countries ranked impact number publications. selected publications belonged to 7605 scholars, with 3.67 authors per document average. average citations was 68.84. Phytotherapy Research Journal scored as top source. M.N. Nagi proved be top-cited author 2076 citations, while Saudi Arabia appeared productive cited country. best-studied represented by such topics anti-inflammatory properties cytokine network, arthritic disease model. Molecular-based approaches conjunction ethno-knowledge may assistance comprehending cellular mechanisms establishing efficacy against variety diseases.
